I must admit to having never thought of the connection between the painful condition of the arse and Johnny's song - and how obvious was it! - but one of the songs writers, Merle Kilgore, thought the idea of using the tune in a campaign rather funny - and said he's often introduced the song while onstage by making a hemorrhoid joke.
