[Slice of SciFi] Rumor: Gillian Anderson on “Doctor Who”? : Slice of SciFi: According to reports, Anderson is discussing reprising the role of the Doctor’s nemesis, the Rani.  The Rani is a female Time Lord who appeared twice during the classic run of the series–once in the Colin Baker era and once during Sylvester McCoy’s first story.  Orginally played by actress Kate O’Mara, the Rani is a Time Lord along the lines of the Master.
